Leadership and Governance
Our Association is guided by an elected Board of Directors, with the assistance of committees and task groups made up of industry leaders. Under the leadership of CEO Carla Giles, MBA, CAE, our team carries out the vision and strategy set by our Board of Directors. We are supported by a dedicated staff, who ensure our members receive the best possible assistance and resources.

The Mortgage Brokers Association of BC (MBABC) is founded. Paul Luykx is installed as the association’s first President.
MBABC elects its first woman President, Theresa Christensen.
MBABC prints the first edition of its member magazine, The BC Mortgage Broker.
MBABC introduces the Pioneer Award for Lifetime Achievement. Andy Ambro, Douglas Eubank, and John Ribalkin are the recipients.

Our Guiding Documents

Bylaw amendments are by special resolution, and voted upon at Annual General Meetings or Extraordinary General Meetings. The Bylaw Committee is headed by the President of the Association.
